Right time to increase Nepali products: NPC Vice-Chair Poudel

CHITWAN: National Planning Commission (NPC) Vice-Chairman Biswo Nath Poudel has said this is the right opportunity for the country to increase domestic production by discouraging imports. At an interaction programme organised by the Association of Pharmaceutical Producers of Nepal in Chitwan on Saturday, Poudel insisted on increasing domestic production at a time when the government is trying to augment foreign reserves. The NPC Vice-Chairman made such views after the pharmaceutical producers demanded that the import of drugs be banned in Nepal citing sufficient production within the country. Poudel also invited the pharmaceutical producers for serious talks with detailed information regarding this issue. He, however, said some of the tasks of the government were not completed in time due to the brain drain of the technical human resources. The interaction programme was organised on the sideline of the Nepal Pharma Expo-2022.  The Expo that started on Friday was scheduled to conclude on Sunday. READ ALSO:
