KATHMANDU: Russian Senior Urologist and Deputy Director of Russian Scientific Centre for Radiology, Prof Dr Pavlov Andrey Yurievich visited Nepal Mediciti Hospital in Lalitpur, on Wednesday.
Prof Dr Yurievich visited the hospital upon the invitation of Nepal Mediciti Chairman Upendra Mahato.

Along with the interaction programme with department heads of concerned medical departments, Prof Dr Yurievich observed the structure, medical team, educational programme, and management of the Hospital. Dr Yurievich is the author of about 300 scientific research papers.
Medical Superintendent of Nepal Mediciti Hospital Dr Jayendra Bajracharya expressed his happiness to welcome the Russian Senior Urologist to the hospital. He shared that it was a very important experience for the team to provide a tour of the hospital and present its services while also getting to hear the Russian Senior Urologist's experiences directly.
With the visit of Professor Yurievich, Nepal Mediciti expects to make a significant contribution to Nepali health sector in the case of collaboration with the Russian scientific and medical centre.
It has been reported that in future, international specialist doctors will come to Nepal and Nepali specialist doctors can explore their skills and ideas in Russia. It is expected that this will not only contribute to a single hospital but the entire Nepali medical sector in its growth and development.

During his visit to Nepal, Prof Dr Yurivich also met with Minister for Health and Population Bhawani Prasad Khapung. He shared that he and his organisation are willing to provide necessary support and cooperation in the campaign to keep Nepali people healthy. Similarly, he also met Lalitpur Metropolitan City Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan.
