Samir Phuyal from Morang was awarded the title of “WaiWai Glocal Teen Hero 2019” at the fifth iteration of Glocal Teen Hero Award, organised by Glocal Private Limited on September 1 at Soaltee Crown Plaza. Out of 598 applicants, Samir won the title. The seven member jury of the national award included Abdullah Tuncer Kececi, Akhanda Bhandari, Ambuj Singh, Anil Chitrakar, Rahul Chaudhary, Ritu Vaidya and Ujjwal Shrestha.
Samir Phuyal is a young entrepreneur from Morang. He develops websites and apps that solve problems in society. He has initiated an online advertising platform called NayaKinmel.com with the vision of digitalizing newspaper ads and aiming to facilitate trade between buyers and sellers. He also runs HamroTech as a YouTube channel which teaches web development and programming in Nepali Language.
