Smart Telecom launches 4G service

Smart Telecom has launched fourth generation service from Kartik, becoming the third telecom operator to do so. In the first phase, it has launched the service in Kathmandu and Pokhara. It is marked as a soft launch with the commercial launch to follow. In the second phase it plans to expand service to Nepalgunj, Chitwan and Birgunj. Smart Telecom received 4G permit five months back and introduces the 4G service under technology neutral spectrum within existing 1800 MHz bandwidth.
