Standard Chartered Bank Nepal appoints Rana as Deputy CEO

KATHMANDU: Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited (SCBNL) has appointed Gorakh Rana as its Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from January 1.

Rana has banking experience spanning over 27 years with a deep knowledge of Nepal’s banking industry and has been representing Standard Chartered in several industries and regulatory forums.

He joined SCBNL in 1994 in the Retail and Private Banking and moved to Corporate and Institutional Banking in 1996 where he served in various capacities ranging from Relationship Manager, Senior Credit Manager, Head of Client Coverage and the last appointment being the Head of Global Banking and Commercial Banking. Along with the role of deputy CEO, Rana will continue to head client coverage, corporate, commercial and institutional banking in Nepal.
