State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan to visit Nepal to observe election

KATHMANDU: State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Takei Shunsuke, is coming to Nepal to observe the election to the House of Representatives and Province Assembly Member taking place on November 20. The Japanese State Minister is scheduled to visit Nepal from November 20 to 21, 2022, to observe the election of the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly, the Embassy of Japan in Nepal said in a press statement on Thursday. The Government of Japan has supported the elections held in Nepal to date, including the dispatch of the election observation team led by Mr Horii Iwao, former Parliamentary Vice-Ministers for Foreign Affairs of Japan, in 2017. State Minister Shunsuke will be the highest dignitary to be dispatched as an election observer from Japan to Nepal. The Government of Japan recognises the importance of the upcoming election of Nepal to be held in a fair, transparent and peaceful manner, as the progress of democracy is indispensable for the further development and prosperity of Nepal. During his stay in Nepal, the Japanese State Minister is also scheduled to pay courtesy calls on high dignitaries of Nepal. READ ALSO:
