Sunrise Bank launches branchless banking services in Kailali

KATHMANDU: Sunrise Bank has launched branchless banking services in Gauriganga Municipality-3, Kailali district. The bank has appointed Ganesh Prasad Paudel as the representative of branchless banking services opened at Kuchaini in Gauriganga. Gauriganga-3 Ward Chair Maniraj Joshi was the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the branchless banking services held at Kuchaini, on Monday. Local businesspersons, entrepreneurs, social workers and other office workers were also present at the event held under the chairmanship of Sunrise Bank's Attariya Branch head Matrika Khadka. The bank said that transactions can be carried out through ATM cards under branchless banking service even from places without a branch office for saving and payment. Through branchless banking services, customers will be provided with various services such as deposit collection, payment, money transfer. The bank has said it started banking services with the aim of increasing banking access to the residents of the area, where trade, agriculture and remittances are the primary sources of income. So far, Sunrise Bank has been providing services to its customers through 139 branches, 103 branchless banking services, 13 extension counters and 162 ATMs. The bank has a plan to expand its services in other places in Nepal.
