
KATHMANDU: Surya Nepal, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), has provided Rs 14 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund for the relief, rescue and rehabilitation of the earthquake-affected population in Jajarkot, Rukum and surrounding districts.
Of the donated amount, Rs 10 million was handed over jointly by the company’s Managing Director Ravi Rayavaram, Vice President Ravi KC, Vikas Bhutra, Dipra Lahiri and Finance Manager Prem Aryal to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to be deposited in Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
The Company has dispatched food, tarpaulin and blankets worth Rs 3.5 million to Jajarkot.
Additionally, Surya Nepal has contributed medicines worth Rs 500,000 that have been handed over to the rescue team from Bir Hospital headed to the districts affected by earthquake.
