Tourists flock to Kalinchowk for sightseeing, enjoying snowfall

KALINCHOWK: A large number of domestic and international tourists have thronged Kalinchowk, a pristine destination in Dolakha district, for sightseeing and enjoying the snowfall. Kalinchowk is also a popular destination for religious viewpoint as devotees pay homage to Kalinchowk Bhagawati. In the recent past, Kalinchowk and its vicinity witnessed this season's first snowfall that resulted in a huge number of tourists' arrival. As a result of visitors' influx, the hotels in Kuri bazaar have enjoyed full occupancy. Hotelier Ram Tamang said tourist arrival has surged after this season's snowfall compared to the past. [gallery columns="1" size="full" link="file" ids="18269"] He said the hoteliers in Kuri bazaar are struggling to accommodate the guests due to a huge number of visitors. On weekends, the area witnesses a sudden rise in the number of visitors. The eye-catching beauties of Gaurishankar, Dorjee Lakpa, Rolwaling, Jugal, Langtang and other peaks seen from Kalinchowk are spellbinding for the tourists. Ramita Regmi, a visitor from Kathmandu, said she had never seen the snow so close to her eyes.
