VNY 2020-Skills for Employment Program Challenge Fund for Job Creation

At the event organised on World Tourism Day, Skills for Employment Program introduced its innovative, market-aligned challenge fund and explained how that can be mobilised and leveraged by the private sector, particularly through collective partnership models. Also, the model helps to accelerate and achieve skills development of Nepali workforce to generate employment and enable tourism sector growth. They also showcased global and national examples of potential skills development models in partnership with selected up and coming and established firms. The VNY 2020 Campaign aims to upscale the image of Nepal as a tourist destination. The campaign is a national level promotional campaign aiming at welcoming two million tourist arrivals in 2020 and increasing daily expenditure of tourists. The tourism campaign is Nepal Government’s commitment to improving the country’s competitiveness through investment, innovation, regulatory reforms and sustainable practices.
