WHO celebrates World Hepatitis Day

A A- A+

Every year WHO celebrates 28 July as World Hepatitis Day with a goal to eliminate hepatitis by 2030. In order to achieve this goal in Nepal, SPARSHA (Society for Positive Atmosphere and Related Support to People Living with HIV in Nepal) in collaboration with NASL (Nepalese Association for the studies of the Liver) organised a rally to educate, screen and raise viral hepatitis awareness in the society. The slogan of the rally on the occasion of World Hepatitis Day was “Find the Missing Millions” of people who are unaware of their present condition. Hepatitis is a viral disease that causes inflammation of the liver—one of the important organs of the body.
