KATHMANDU: World Health Organisation (WHO) Director-General, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and his delegation concluded a three-day official visit to Nepal and left for Geneva today.
Senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health and Population and WHO saw the visiting WHO delegation off at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
The MoFA shared on Twitter, “WHO Director General @DrTedros and his delegation concluded a three-day official to Nepal and left for Geneva today. Senior officials of MoFA, MoHP and WHO bade farewell to the visiting dignitary at the airport.”

Earlier on Friday, Dr Tedros inspected the National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL) in Teku, Kathmandu. He also observed the vaccination campaign launched against typhoid at Patan Secondary School in Lalitpur.
Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has appreciated Nepal government’s national campaign against Covid-19 and the progress the country has made on various health indicators, including child health and maternal mortality over a short span of time.
