World Poetry Day being observed today

KATHMANDU: World Poetry Day is being celebrated today by organising various literary programmes. On this occasion, the Department of Literature (Poetry) of Nepal Academy is scheduled to organise a special poets' symposium according to Shashi Lumumbu, Communication and Diaspora Coordinator of the academy. In 1999, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) declared March 21 as World Poetry Day. The first poem is believed to have been composed in Babylon 4,000 years ago. By RSS READ ALSO:
