Xiaomi Nepal starts Mi-ssion Education

KATHMANDU: Xiaomi, the leading smartphone company in Nepal, has provided educational and health supplies to Maitreya Foundation and Love Light Society. Both Maitreya Foundation and Love Light Society are orphanages based in Godavari, Lalitpur district. Xiaomi Nepal has been actively involved in generating value and bringing a positive impact on society by helping the needy. Xiaomi enhances the well-being of the communities it operates in by contributing to areas of society that align with its business offerings and operations. Xiaomi has taken the lead in organising various social welfare initiatives to give back to the community. As a part of its corporate social responsibility, Xiaomi has donated over 200 school bags, stationery items, footballs, basketballs, masks, and sanitisers to the Godavari-based orphanages. Amit Kumar Panda, the Country General Manager of Xiaomi Nepal, made donations to these organisations. Commenting on the event, Panda said, "The aim is to reach out to as many people as possible and create an inclusive environment for students’ education. We have made it our Mi-ssion education. The campaign will be an ongoing effort wherein the end goal will be ‘education for all’. We believe that CSR is a long-term approach to business that addresses the needs of communities, people and the company.” Xiaomi Nepal is a business entity that understands its responsibilities towards the society it operates in and believes in contributing to the community and promoting happiness.
