KATHMANDU: As many as 156 polling centres and 363 polling stations have been set up in Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) for the local level elections scheduled to take place tomorrow.
Of the total 300,242 voters in KMC, KMC-16 has 20,175 voters, the highest number. Likewise, KMC-32 has 18,913 voters, the second largest in the metropolis. Similarly, Ward 31 has 18,107 voters. There are 3,729 voters in KMC-1 which has the lowest number of voters.
Likewise, KMC-23 and 20 have 4,477 and 4,614 voters respectively. There are 156 polling centres and 363 polling stations in KMC. Ward 31 has 11 polling centres, the highest number of centres.
Similarly, there are 10 polling centres in ward 16, nine each in Ward 7 and 32. KMC-23 has only one polling centre.
There are two centres each in wards 19, 20 and 24 while there are three centres each in wards 1, 5, 8, 12, 18 and 29.
KMC Ward 16 has 23 polling booths, the highest number of booths. There are 22 polling stations in wards 31 and 32. KMC-14 has 21 polling stations the third-largest number of stations.
