Budget session of parliament to begin today

KATHMANDU: The new session of the Federal Parliament is scheduled to commence at 4:00 pm today.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari, on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers on May 8, summoned the new session for Tuesday.

The meeting has been called at Federal Parliament Building, New Baneshwor.

Meanwhile, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota on Monday reached the Federal Parliament Building and took information about the preparation of the House of Representatives meeting, said Sapkota’s press expert Shreedhar Neupane.

Similarly, Speaker Sapkota has called the meeting of Business Advisory Committee at 2:30 pm before the House session. The committee meeting would make decision on various issues including the agenda of the meeting.

The government’s policy and programme and budget will be presented in this session as it is also the budget session.
