Chinese Ambassador calls on Home Minister Khand

KATHMANDU: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi called on Minister for Home Affairs Bal Krishna Khand at the latter's office on Wednesday. During the meeting, the two discussed mutual relations between Nepal and China and the exchange of cooperation between the two neighbouring countries, according to the Minister's secretariat. Minister Khand told the Chinese envoy that the incumbent government was working towards making budget in the wake of recently held local level elections. Extending gratitude to the government of China for providing 'continued' assistance to Nepal for peace, stability, development and prosperity, Minister Khand expressed his confidence in continuation of support in coming days as well. Chinese envoy Hou informed that she visited various places where elections were being held on May 13 for observation and shared her pleasure to see people enthusiastically taking part in the voting. She also informed Minister Khand that a direct flight between Kunming, China and Kathmandu will begin on May 30. By RSS READ ALSO:
