KATHMANDU: Coca-Cola, the most loved beverage in Nepal, has successfully concluded the Dhanyabad on-ground activation dedicated especially towards the frontline warriors of the country.
The activation was part of Coca-Cola’s 2021 Dashain Campaign themed “Dhanyabad” with the aim of expressing gratitude to loved ones, especially those who have made a difference during the pandemic.
Through the on-ground activation, Coca-Cola has reached out to five major Covid hospitals in Nepal including BP Koirala Institution of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) in Dharan, HAMS Hospital and Star Hospital in Kathmandu. Additionally, 13 NGOs have worked commendably during the pandemic including waste workers under the network of Creasion, ambulance service provider for Nepal Ambulance Service and Women for Human Rights. During the campaign, Coca-Cola engaged with frontline workers and shared the “Dhanyabad” gift boxes which come with personalised Coke bottles and a pair of Coca-Cola contour glasses.
RN Jyoti Adhikari, who is persistently working in the Covid Ward of HAMS Hospital shared, “The second wave of the Covid 19 pandemic was a hard hit for the country. We started working over 14 hours shift because our regular time schedule was just not enough to serve our critical patients. It was definitely a frightful experience to witness the challenges we faced as a country. As we are overcoming the crisis, seeing our jobs acknowledged by Coca-Cola has touched us and in a way motivated us to work harder.”
Speaking about the campaign, Adarsh Avasthi, Country Director of Coca-Cola in Nepal shared, “This year, we have celebrated Dashain with the theme of Gratitude and the Dhanyabad on-ground activation was our humble attempt to express our heartfelt gratitude towards the frontline warriors of the country. We understand the hardships that they have been through during the pandemic to protect us and their ongoing efforts to serve the communities. Once again, we salute them for their selfless dedication to society.”
Earlier in September this year, Coca-Cola Nepal had launched its Dashain Campaign titled “Dhanyabad” with the aim to inspire and encourage consumers to express gratitude with a bottle of Coke to those who have been there during the difficult moments. The campaign also introduced eight new labels giving thanks (Dhanyabaad) to every person that we can be grateful to such as Aama, Buwa, Dai, Bhai, Didi, Baini, Saathi, and Sewa Karmi. The regular Coke labels have been replaced with Dhanyabaad labels throughout the festive season as a dedication to those we have made a difference in our lives.
Coca-Cola in Nepal refreshes consumers across the country through its core product offerings of Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta and Kinley, and impacts thousands as a System.
The Company works with WWF Nepal, WaterAid Nepal and Smartpaani on innovative integrated water management solutions for water conservation, water replenishment and to improve the livelihoods of communities.
