KATHMANDU: The Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs' Forum (NYEF) Kathmandu Chapter concluded its flagship event — NYEF Startup Awards 2022.
NYEF Startup Awards, organised by the NYEF Kathmandu chapter, is a premier competition and boot camp for enthusiastic and driven entrepreneurs. The main aim of the startup awards is to develop a business ecosystem in Nepal through the means of exposure, mentorship, and investment. The award function is a huge platform for startups to showcase their ideas in front of prestigious judges and all of Nepal's major investors.

This year the NYEF startup awards had a tie for first place. Two startups — Bytecare and Delish Dairies — won the NYEF Startup Award. The two startups shared a cash prize of Rs 400,000 and Rs 200,000 as winners and runners-up. Likewise, Diyo AI became the second runner-up and bagged a cash prize of Rs 100,000. Similarly, Social Entrepreneur Award carrying a purse of Rs 50,000 was presented to Zero Circular.

The NYEF selected startups that have been in the market for less than four years. Its objective is to develop a business ecosystem to promote youth entrepreneurship through exposure, mentorship and investment in these startups.
Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs' Forum (NYEF) is an apex body of young entrepreneurs in Nepal. It is a membership-based non-profit organisation, established with a vision of empowering positive business thinking. It aims at creating outstanding entrepreneurs through idea exchange, fellowships, education, training, and advocacy among the Nepali youth. NYEF, a catalyst for the growth of entrepreneurship, has played a vital role in transforming Nepal.
