Radisson Hotel Kathmandu hosts fruit soaking ceremony

KATHMANDU: Radisson Hotel Kathmandu organised a 'Fruit Soaking' ceremony to celebrate the advent of Christmas and the start of winter festivities, on Sunday. The event was held at Terrace Garden, an outdoor venue located on the fourth floor of the hotel. Women professionals from different sectors were invited to celebrate the mixing. General Manager, Subrata Banerjee started the ceremony by welcoming and thanking all the invitees and media houses for joining the event. Executive Chef, Sunal Thakur then took the event forward by briefly describing the fruit-soaking event, its history, and procedures to mix the fruits. [gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="30586,30588"] The attendees followed the chef’s guidelines and mixed the comprehensive list of dry fruits with spices, herbs, wine, beer, rum and whisky. fruits should be soaked and mixed more than a month prior to getting the authentic taste and flavour of Christmas cake. The hotel’s chefs prepared a delicious feast to commemorate the celebrations with a perfect blend of Christmas spirit and cheer. Everyone participated to make the event merry and fun-filled.
