KATHMANDU: The government has decided to accept the concessional loan of 59.6 million SDR to be provided by the World Bank for the governance of drinking water sector and infrastructure assistance.
Sharing the information about the decisions of Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said the meeting endorsed Armed Police (Second Amendment), 2079.
Similarly, in a bid to promote modern and climate-friendly clean energy and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the government decided to accept the grant assistance of $21 million.
The Cabinet also decided to accept $8 billion to be provided by the Korean Republic for the establishment of cyber bureau of Nepal Police.
Similarly, the economic and financial assistance of €4.5 million to be provided by the EU will be accepted for the promotion of green and renewal energy.
The government also decided to withdraw Nepal Citizenship Act, 2063. Every Baisakh 1 in the Lunar calendar will be observed as land registration day as per government decision.
Dr Amarraj Giri, Prof Dr Krishna Prasad Neupane, Matrika Prasad Pokhrel, Gopalji Prasad Saraf and Mrit Yonjan Tamang have been appointed as members of the Language Commission.
