Speaker urges government to immediately address fertiliser shortage issue

KATHMANDU: Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has drawn the government’s attention to the shortage of chemical fertiliser during the major agricultural season and urged to address the issue promptly. Airing views in a zero hour of the House of Representatives (HoR), most of the lawmakers expressed concerns over non-availability of fertiliser during the farming season. In response, Speaker drew the government’s attention to the timely management of fertilisers. “My attention has been drawn towards the voices of honourable lawmakers in regard to the deficit of fertiliser supplies during the farming season and I draw the attention of the respective ministry and the government towards the management of fertiliser ensuring the immediate supplies to farmers,” the Speaker said.
