Nepal Mediciti celebrates International Nurses Day

LALITPUR: Nepal Mediciti in Lalitpur marked International Nurses Day today by organising various programmes with the objective of ensuring investment in the nursing sector and rights for the development of  health sector. To encourage nurses, various issues were discussed and a cultural programme was organised in presence of the hospital advisor, Navin Kumar; Head of Clinical Services, Prof Dr Nilamani Upadhyay; Medical Superintendent, Dr Jayendra Bajracharya, Head of Nursing Services, Kopila Shrestha Palikhe among others. On behalf of the hospital management, Dr Upadhyaya said nurses are the service providers closest to the patients during treatment and the hospital is always working to protect and promote them. Florence Nightingale, the pioneer of modern nursing, was born on May 12 which is celebrated as International Nurses Day. The slogan of the Nursing Day this year is to invest in health sector and ensure the rights of nurses for the development of the global health sector. READ ALSO:
