FinMin directs Rastriya Beema Sansthan, Rastriya Beema Co to audit accounts in 3 months

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Finance has directed Rastriya Beema Sansthan and Rastriya Beema Co Ltd to audit their accounts within three months. At a meeting held at the ministry on Monday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel said the matter is worrying that the auditing of accounts has not been completed till now. He gave instructions to complete the auditing of accounts by April 29, 2023. The two insurance institutions have yet to audit their accounts from the fiscal year 2016/17. Minister Paudel has also directed not to distribute bonuses and cash dividends until the accounts get audited. Also present at the meeting were Finance Ministry Secretary (Revenue) Ram Prasad Ghimire, Nepal Insurance Authority Chairman Surya Prasad Silwal, Rastriya Beema Sansthan Director/Administrator Kabi Prasad Pathak, Rastriya Beema Co Ltd CEO Shekhar Baral.
