KATHMANDU: Federation of Computer Association Nepal (CAN Federation) Secretary General Chiranjibi Adhikari has been nominated as an expert at Nepal Copyright Registrar's Office.
The copyright registrar's office under the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation nominated Adhikari as an expert for the study and verification of the documents submitted regarding the registration of the software system under the composition registration.
Expert Adhikari will facilitate the study and verification of documents submitted by individuals and organisations that want to maintain copyrights in information technology-based goods and services including software source code, ideas and products.
CAN Federation Secretary General Adhikari said that he would help legally protect the rights of manufacturers and owners of related products. He mentioned that his support will help control the unauthorised copy, distribution and use of the works in the IT sector and will ensure the protection of the rights of creators and fair compensation.
