Everest Bank inaugurates solar bus stand in Lalitpur

KATHMANDU: Everest Bank Ltd (EBL) inaugurated a solar bus stand at Taukhel, Lalitpur built in collaboration with Lalitpur Metropolitan City -3 under corporate social responsibility (CSR). Everest Bank has been conducting various CSR programmes for the benefit of people at large, especially for the deprived section of society, education, health, natural calamities management, environment preservation, cultural promotion, basic infrastructure improvement in rural areas, income earning capability enhancement of socially backward community, financial literacy, customer protection programmes. Sanu Raja Ghimire and Vijay Kumar Sharma jointly inaugurated the bus stand. Gaurav Kumar, Deputy General Manager EBL and Puspa Raj Uprety Head-Marketing & Institutional Deposit, Pritam Karmacharya Branch Manager Taukhel Branch EBL along with other dignitaries of the society were also present at the event. During the inauguration, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the bank stated that local residents of Taukhel and others in the region can take the advantage of the bus stand and expressed his belief that it added value to the development of Taukel as a part of smart city. EBL, a joint venture partner with Punjab National Bank India, presently has a customer base of over 1.3 million, one of the highest in the industry. Presently, the bank is rendering professionalised and efficient banking services through its wide domestic network of 124 branches, seven provincial offices, three extension counters, 160 ATMs, 32 revenue collection counters and also through its widest global network.
