FINYE Hong Kong, Consulate General of Nepal promote Nepali handicrafts

KATHMANDU: Consul General Udaya Bahadur Rana Magar has provided space to showcase Nepali handicraft items on the premises Consulate General of Nepal, Hong Kong. It is said this initiative undertaken by the Consul General Rana Magar will help in promoting Nepali handicraft items in various countries including Hong Kong, Macau and China. The initiative undertaken by the Consul General to showcase Nepali handicraft items being promoted by Nepali youth entrepreneurs across the world who are affiliated with the Federation of International Nepali Youth Entrepreneurs (FINYE) will support the promotion of Nepali products in the international market said Indar Pun, General Secretary at FINYE Hong Kong. He said it has given a positive message and could inspire other embassies located in various countries to take steps to promote homemade products. [gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="24672,24670"] Meanwhile, a group led by FINYE Hong Kong President Akash Banjara has a plan to establish an investment company in Nepal to financially support youth entrepreneurs in Hong Kong. A team comprising Banjara and several others who have been exporting handicraft items to various countries including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, China, and European and American countries for 12 years has a plan to facilitate youth entrepreneurs affiliated with FINYE and also provide incentives to start-up entrepreneurs. [gallery link="file" columns="1" size="full" ids="24674"] Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Hong Kong President and FINYE Hong Kong Vice President Gokarna Prasad Dhakal, and Hong Kong-Nepalese Business Association President Prakash Pun have supported in promotion of Nepali handicrafts through the Consulate General of Nepal. Meanwhile, FINYE Hong Kong is preparing to hold an exhibition of Nepali handicrafts in collaboration with the Consulate General of Nepal, Hong Kong, NRNA Hong Kong and various organisations and associations in Hong Kong.
