Govt bars citizens from visiting Gulf countries, Malaysia on visit visa

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has barred all Nepalis from travelling to Gulf countries and Malaysia on visit visas from January 24 until further order.

The Gulf countries include Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

As the highly contagious Omicron variant of Covid 19 is spreading rapidly in the country and abroad, lots of people travelling to the Gulf countries and Malaysia for various purposes were facing difficulties, the MoHA said in the statement issued on Friday.
