KATHMANDU: The government has allocated Rs 8.08 billion for the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security for the fiscal year 2023/24.
Presenting annual estimates of the government’s revenue and expenditure for the upcoming fiscal year in the federal parliament today, Finance Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat said creating employment in the country is in the top priority of the government.
A total of Rs 9.13 billion has been allocated in the current fiscal year for the MoLESS. The budget of the ministry for the next fiscal year has been reduced by more than Rs 1 billion.
