KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has launched a drive to demolish illegally built structures. The KMC itself resorted to the move after the 35-day public notice expired, said the KMC officials.  The metropolis believes this move would resolve 25% of vehicle parking problems in the city. Those structures built without the maps passed or violating the approved maps were pulled down, said Sunil Lamsal, member of the Secretariat of the KMC Mayor Balendra Shah.
