NA meeting held amidst UML obstruction

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the National Assembly (NA) was held amid protests by the main opposition, CPN (UML) today. As the meeting started, UML lawmakers protested by not taking their seats. NA Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina gave time to UML's NA member Devendra Dahal to speak. MP Dahal said that the demands they have been raising since the previous session have not been met yet and informed the Upper House that their protests will continue in this session as well. Despite repeated requests, UML lawmakers continued protesting, and hence NA Chair Timilsina moved ahead with the agenda for the day. The National Assembly observed a minute of silence for the known and unknown martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of democracy and republic. Earlier, at the onset of the meeting, NA Chair Timilsina shared the details of the letter received from President Bidya Devi Bhandari. By RSS READ ALSO:
