Dhakal appointed Chairman of Jyoti Capital

KATHMANDU: The 27th Board meeting of Jyoti Capital held on Wednesday appointed Kapil Dhakal as the chairman of the capital's Board of Directors. Dhakal, Senior Deputy CEO of Jyoti Bikash Bank, who has been nominated as a BOD member of the capital, has more than 15 years of experience at the top level of the banking sector. He has been elected Jyoti Capital's BOD Chairman with effect from May 17, 2023. Dhakal, who is a professional chartered accountant, has working experience with Deloitte India, ICICI Bank, India, as CEO of Hamro Bikas Bank and Deputy CEO of NIC Asia Bank. He had a successful tenure as the Chairman of NIC Asia Capital and NIC Asia Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha. Jyoti Capital is confident that the newly-appointed Chairman Dhakal will make a significant contribution to the expansion of the capital's business and services, with his experience in this field and his efficient management skills. Jyoti Capital, a subsidiary of Jyoti Bikash Bank, has a paid-up capital of Rs 210 million. Jyoti Capital made a profit of Rs 12,471,309 till the third quarter of the current fiscal year 2022/23.
