A A- A+
KATHMANDU: The art exhibition titled 'Tale of a City' will be opened at Siddhartha Art Gallery, Babarmahal, Kathmandu from coming Friday. 'Tale of a City' emerged with a group of artists reflecting on their experiences with the city on celebrating life and cultural heritage. The works of artists including Abhishek Shah, Anil Ranjit, Ashesh Dangol, Jagdish Upadhyay, Rupesh Man Singh, Sharmila Shrestha, Sujan Dangol and Jattadhari Bhajan Khala will be showcased in the exhibition. The exhibition will feature the vibrancy of culture, tradition, and practices that they have explored across their work. The call for urgency to recognise the importance of being mindful with the daily choices for the preservation of heritages projects a deep concern at their end. Moreover, the art exhibition intends to help create a shared narrative that stretches beyond all borders. The exhibition is set to be inaugurated by Lalitpur Metropolitan City Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan and Prof Dr Niels Gutschow at the gallery, at 4:30 pm, on October 29. Niels Gutschow, who graduated in architecture from Darmstadt University wrote his PhD-thesis on the Japanese Castle Town in 1973. He was a member of a team for the first bilateral conservation project in Bhaktapur, Nepal in 1971. He is honorary professor at Heidelberg University, Department of Indology. He has been living in Abtsteinach, Germany and Bhaktapur, Nepal Since 2004. The exhibition will be held for a month until November 29. READ ALSO:
