US Under Secretary of State Zeya calls on PM Deuba, Foreign Minister separately

KATHMANDU: A delegation led by US Under Secretary for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights, and Special Coordinator for Tibetan Issues, Uzra Zeya, held a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today. In the meeting held at the PM's official residence in Baluwatar, discussions were held on Nepal-US relations and various topics of mutual interest, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Photo: RSS[/caption] PM Deuba expressed his pleasure to welcome the US delegation. The US Under Secretary arrived in Kathmandu on Friday on a three-day visit to Nepal. Earlier today, she paid a courtesy call on Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Khadka at the Ministry. The meeting between the minister and Zeya focused on friendly bilateral relations and cooperation in bilateral and multilateral forums as well as on other various issues, according to the MoFA. Zeya is visiting Nepal on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and the US.
