A A- A+
KATHMANDU: The seventh Nepal Buildcon International Exhibition has begun at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu today. The three-day exhibition to be held from March 11 to 13 is organised with the objective of showcasing architecture, building, construction, design and engineering of various national and international companies. Media Space Solutions Nepal is organising the event in collaboration with Futurex Trade Fair and Events (India). Media Space Solutions is a digital media and event management company that owns and operates a portfolio of digital place-based and mobile networks that reach consumers on the move. The expo is expected to avail its participants and visitors an opportunity to exhibit, exchange, invest and progress and be a part of the Nepali building, construction and engineering industry. Exhibitors also get the opportunity to showcase their potential by providing detailed demonstrations of the latest products and services, within industry segmented pavilions. It has been learnt that more than 150 multinational companies are taking part in showcasing more than 300 brands and products from across the globe in the event. The event taking place under the title sponsorship of Hulas Steel is supported by Nepal Engineers' Association (NEA), Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal (FCAN), Society of Nepalese Architects (SONA), Heavy Equipment Parts Association and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The expo focuses on five key elements — facilitating growth, competitiveness, promoting infrastructure investments, developing human capital and encouraging social development. It has been reported that Nepal Construction Machinery and Heavy Equipment International Expo will also take place to showcase construction equipment and heavy equipment of companies from Nepal and abroad. Nepal Buildcon 2022 is dedicated to the fast-growing and very popular construction industry. The construction industry is among one of the fastest-growing sectors in Nepal and comes with a promising future.  As the national economy grows the social and financial demand for infrastructural updates also increases. The exhibition was first conceptualised and organised in Kathmandu in 2015 to bring all the architects, designers, developers, engineers, contracting companies, material suppliers and technology providers under one roof for displaying and sourcing products and the journey continues year after year.
