Chiya Sagar’s new outlet opened in Maharajgunj

KATHMANDU: Chiya Sagar's new outlet has been opened at Shrikanti Marg in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu. Keshav Sharma, Prakash Paudel and Nabin Sharma have spent Rs 8 million to set up a new haunt for tea connoisseurs where one can have delicious tea in a cosy environment. [gallery columns="1" size="full" link="file" ids="37411,37410"] Actor Salon Basnet and Model Yangshu Shrestha jointly inaugurated the cafe's new outlet at a ceremony held on Monday. The menu of Chiya Sagar includes 55 different types of tea including Matka, Masala, ice tea, home tea, herbal tea, green tea, and fruit tea. Masala tea, prepared by mixing 'A-one grade' spices, is very popular at Chiya Sagar. The new outlet has been opened with the aim of offering tea connoisseurs different tastes and flavours.  The price of tea ranges from Rs 30 to Rs 300 per cup at Chiya Sagar. Apart from tea and coffee, bakery items are also available at Chiya Sagar which remains open from 6:30 am to 8:30 pm. According to Sharma, the owner of Chiya Sagar, the new outlet was opened in Maharajgunj on the advice and request of customers at the main outlet in Baneshwor. [gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="37409,37408"] Chiya Sagar is a place where tea is brewed in a modern style by further modifying the custom and style of 'let's have tea' that has developed as a culture among Nepalis, Sharma said and added, "We aim to serve tea in a calm, pleasant atmosphere." The modern cafe has incorporated original Nepali items for decorations. The lights in paper baskets are hung upside down. More than 200 'nanglo', flat round woven bamboo trays, and 'doko', traditional bamboo baskets for carrying loads, are stuck on walls and ceilings as a part of the decoration. READ ALSO:
