KATHMANDU: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki returned home on Saturday after taking part in the “World Telecommunications Development Conference” held in Rwanda.
The government spokesperson had left for Rwanda last week leading a four-member delegation at the invitation of International Telecommunications Union and Rwandan government to attend the conference in Kigali, Rwanda.
Talking to media at Tribhuvan International Airport, Minister Karki said he made commitment to complete entire tasks for the electronic transformation as per the concept of Digital Nepal Framework by 2025.
He added that Nepal has also pledged to connect all areas of the country to the telecommunications network despite some physical limitations.
During his visit, Minister Karki held meetings with his counterparts and dignitaries from Japan, the USA, China, Lithuania and Azerbaijan and shared views on issues of mutual interests and cooperation in the field of telecommunications and information technology, the Ministry said in a press statement on Saturday.
