Revolving fund of Rs 10m set up to promote education, agriculture in Myagdi

MYAGDI: Three brothers have set up a revolving fund of Rs 10 million in a school for the promotion of higher studies of selected students and agriculture in Myagdi district. Dilliraj Garbuja of Annapurna Rural Municipality, a retired British Army personnel, announced the establishment of the revolving fund on Thursday on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of Shikha Secondary School. During the event, Garbuja said he and his two brothers — Umesh Kumar and Dan Bahadur — set up the fund to promote agriculture and support the higher education of an outstanding student of Shikha Secondary School. The Garbuja brothers live in the United Kingdom. It is shared that the interest amount of the revolving fund will be given to an outstanding student of the school and local farmer producing the highest quantity of potatoes every year. READ ALSO:
